The Good Life

I can’t believe it’s December and that the first snow is finally here! I know it’s a common adage that time only goes faster with age. Well this year has flown by. It’s hard to believe that I’m almost 25, a quarter of a century, married, and a mother. I’ve also began my career as a nurse. Things are definitely falling into place and I’m so looking forward to what 2012 has to bring. For now though I’m just grateful for today.

then i texted her

a nice, caring text

and she responded in a perfunctory manner

i did admit to listening to alanis morrisette lately at coffee

maybe that threw her off
